QALBY

Privacy Policy

QALBY is local-first. This policy describes the verified behavior of the Android app prepared under io.meeddev.qalby.

1. Controller and contact

The app is provided by Meed Dev. Contact privacy@meeddev.io for privacy requests and support@meeddev.io for technical support.

2. Data kept on your device

  • Munajat drafts and entries are held in secure device storage and are not silently uploaded.
  • Counters, favorites, mood selections, language/theme settings, content history, and reminder preferences remain on the device.
  • Your chosen prayer location (city, country, approximate coordinates, and time zone) may be saved locally.

3. Location and network use

Location is optional. If you choose current location, precise coordinates are obtained from the operating system. The OS geocoding service may resolve a city name, and coordinates are sent over HTTPS to api.aladhan.com to obtain prayer times. You may instead choose a preset city.

4. Munajat, mood, and religious content

Munajat text is not sent off-device for analysis, advertising, or AI. Mood selection only runs sourced content mappings bundled with the app. The app does not generate personalized religious rulings.

5. Accounts, purchases, notifications, and SDKs

  • This release does not create accounts or offer email, phone, or social sign-in; online account deletion therefore does not apply.
  • Live store billing is disabled and no Play Billing SDK calls are integrated.
  • Reminder preferences are local; there is no remote push service and Munajat text is excluded from notification payloads.
  • No Firebase, Supabase, advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK is integrated.

6. Sharing, security, and retention

We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. Location is transferred only to providers supporting the feature described above. Munajat entries remain in secure local storage and Android backup is disabled.

7. Deletion and control

Delete entries, favorites, and counters with in-app controls. To remove all local data, clear the app's storage in system settings or uninstall it. Support emails are retained only as needed to resolve the request and meet legal obligations; email the privacy address to request deletion.

8. Changes

If accounts, analytics, ads, cloud sync, or payments are added, this policy and the Play Data Safety declaration will be updated before release.

Child safety and audience

This web disclosure does not identify child-directed targeting, knowingly requesting personal data from children, or anonymous/random chat for this app. The target audience, age rating, and Google Play Families declaration must be made by the developer to match the app's actual content and current release.

Google Play Data Safety alignment

This disclosure must be reviewed together with the app's current source, permissions, SDKs, and network behavior. If app behavior changes, this policy and the Play Console Data Safety declaration must be updated before release.

Account deletion

If this release has no account creation, an online account-deletion flow does not apply. If account creation is added, an accessible in-app and external path to delete the account and associated data must be provided before release.
